Matias Echarri
Strategy + engineering
Growing up, Matías loved creating things and spending time around computers. Ignoring what was a pretty obvious combination, he ended up enrolling in medical school (it lasted less than a month). Going back to basics, he discovered software development and became fascinated by the idea of building with infinite materials.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find him cooking, downhill biking, or exploring new technologies.

What’s the part of your morning routine you’ll never skip?
Making some kind of tea and adding three tablespoons of ginger.
What’s your favorite tool for self-education?
YouTube, hands down. I’ve learned a ton from amazing professionals, but Jonathan MirCha’s JavaScript course will always have a special place for me.
What’s something you could have done manually in a short amount of time, but instead built code to automate it even though it took longer?
I built a script that blocks every possible distraction on a computer. Once you turn it on, undoing it is extremely annoying and it lasts for seven hours. I rarely use it, but building it was a lot of fun.
